After Hollywood week, I learned quite a bit more about the contenders and the Top 24. Most of them have now been featured (and it’s going to be a tough road for those who haven’t been)… So without further ado, here’s my top 2nd installment of Top 24 Power Rankings

1. Andrew Garcia – I don’t think there’s any doubt he’s the favorite. I think his only concern might be setting the bar too high too early. I’ve seen lots of his stuff and think he’s got plenty of amazing performances left in him, but my ONLY worry is he’ll get a little stale after weeks and weeks… Plus, with Idol, you have to do a lot of different stuff… But he know’s who he is and has to be the leader.

Casey Carlson – “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic” by the Police

Casey moves on!  YAY!  Now she’s facing America in the first group coming up next week.

The voting will go like this.  The top guy and top girl vote getter from Tuesday’s show will make the top 12.  In addition, the next highest vote getter will make it.

There will be 3 group shows over the next 3 weeks.  There will then be a Wild Card Round in which the judges will pick the final 3 contestants who didn’t get voted in with the previous format.

GIRLS: Casey Carlson, Stevie Wright, Alexis Grace, Ann Marie Boskovich, Tatiana Del Toro, Jackie Tohn

BOYS: Danny Gokey, Stephen Fowler, Anoop, Ricky Braddy, Michael Sarver, Brent Keith

It’s going to be stiff compition!  With the strength of the boys, it’s likely only one girl from this group will make it!  If Casey is going to move on, she needs your help!

How mad am I?  Very mad!?!!!  I had to rewind my DVR 3 times to ensure that they really did send Casey through till tomorrow!  How does the cutest, most charasmatic contestant not even get recognized on the first show of Hollywood Week?!  Are the producers haters?

This BETTER be because we know she’s getting through and are going to feature her hardcore tonight… One can only hope!  I’m trying to find her group audition video and will post it as soon as I find it, so check back soon!

So if you haven’t started watching American Idol, here’s the best reason to start:  Casey Carlson.  This girl is the real deal, the full package, and one of the most gorgeous girls I’ve seen in a really long time.  She’s sweet and charming, yet has a body to die for under it all.  She’s not flashy, but she has star power.
